This yarn is roving rather than twisted yarn. That makes it pretty fragile. I can see that a beginner knitter might have trouble with this. If you are thinking of knitting as loosely as possible, you should only put the yarn on the needles and not pull them out. If you need to rip it off you can just attach the ends and roughen up a bit, that's fine and won't ruin the fabric. What can I say, the fabric is very tasty. It's fluffy and super, super soft.
