Reworked the timer

Does not go into the "on" cycle. Worked for three months, confessed for six months, then didn't start. Too expensive to change every year. After I submitted this review, Veka representatives contacted me and offered to replace the timer free of charge. This new one seems to be more accurate in the settings and works well. I have changed the "star" rating to not only reflect the device but that Century is trying to please me even though the warranty has expired.

After two shutdowns, the block died.

There are 3 modes of operation that require disconnection from the AC supply and using two consecutive maximum and minimum regulators is a special way of selecting the desired mode. Good luck if you lose the instructions as there is no indication of what mode is running. This is a kind of user interface designed by naive designers. The decision to ditch the 3-position switch and save a dollar on detail is a classic failure to understand the core concepts of an intuitive user interface. The…

Which line is switched?

I wanted to use this timer to start the drain pump. First, the support is very responsive. What to look out for: The Hello line (black wire) is always on. This is the Lo line (white wire) that will be switched. So the load is always hot - be careful. If there is a leak on the load side, it's no good - a safety issue. The instructions are not clear. 5 seconds - within this time two steps must be completed, not just one, for example to use both high levels and then both low levels continuously…

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • boring packaging

It wasn't obvious but the timer defaults to light metering mode, NOT intermittent (24 hour) timer mode! To put it in timer mode, it must be plugged in. with the dials already set to the minimum and then IMMEDIATELY set them to the maximum. This setting is then saved every time you connect it. After completing the initial setup, this is a good timer. I like that the dials are analogue and unlike the digital ones, they are easy to see and adjust. And they cover a good time range for many…

You might think this is DOA. Just not intuitive and no instructions

No instructions and control is not intuitive at all. Watch the video in the post on how to use it. You must 1) turn both knobs fully counterclockwise 2) insert the plug into the outlet 3) WITHIN 5 SECONDS (!) turn both knobs fully clockwise. [On indicator lights up] 3) Set according to desired operation. If you don't do this exactly, the device will just sit there and do nothing. It is even more difficult to work only at night or only during the day. I guarantee you won't understand this…

Searched for years - finally found!

I've been looking for an intermittent timer for a long time and couldn't find it. "Short Cycle Timer". Who knew what their names were? Anyway, it's perfect for my purposes. I have a vintage copper chocolate melter (essentially a double boiler/steamer) and the heating elements work, but the temperature/thermostat controls no longer work. As a result, the heating elements turn on and never turn off. I removed the old control switch, plugged it into this wonderful device and set it to 1 minute and

It's hard to find a perfect product for my application

I had a problem with radon at home. The solution was an underground radon evacuation fan. This completely solves our radon problem. However, here is an unforeseen consequence. I have noticed a significant increase in heating costs. Why? Because the fan ran 24/7, blowing a significant amount of heated air out of our conditioned (heated and cooled) underground. The fan did its job too well. There is no need to reduce indoor radon levels to outdoor levels. which is 0.2 pCi/L here. An indoor value…

Stops working after a few days

Good to know: You have to "initialize" the device in order for it to work with the time set on the dial. In the delivery state, it does not work at the time you set. You have to set both values to zero, then plug in and move both controls for a few seconds. This is clearly described in the instructions, but it is not clear if initialization is required. The reason for the bad rating - it stopped working after a few days. I've used it in a plant cloning setup and it drives a 20w water pump: 4…

It's ok not great but good

I tried two interval timers sold by Revain or at least made by Amazon. for an infinite loop for my hydroponics. I run it to power the air pump bubbler every 60 minutes for 30 minutes on time. To keep my pump from overheating and to give it a regular cool down period. is only 60 minutes, and 30 minutes is the longest time. It has this stupid daylight sensor that I have to wrap with tape because otherwise there's no way to 'turn off' the feature. I think the idea of a daylight sensor is really…
