Description of πŸ”Œ 16 Gauge Magnet Wire - Enameled Copper Wire - Magnet Winding Wire - 1.0 lb Coil - 0.0492" Diameter - Red - Temperature Rating 155℃ - Ideal for Transformers and Inductors - Widely Utilized

High Quality enameled Copper Wire!Durable and not break while winding the coils.Highly Efficient!. Magnet wire is copper wire that coated with a thin layer of insulated enamel. This 16AWG magnet wire is 1.0 pounds(123 feet). The copper strands conducts, the insulation is made from modified Polyester with a Polyamideimide overcoat, and protects the coiled wire from short-circuiting. This varnished copper wire is constructed with premium enamel insulation.Temperature rating 155Β°C (311Β°F) makes it suitable for several thermal overload applications.Raw copper is drawn to meet specific size requirements based on NEMA MW-35-C standard. 16 gauge enameled magnet wire: Wrapped in spool and color is red.Outside diameter 0.0492"for perfect thickness. BNTECHGO magnetic copper wire is widely used in the construction of transformers, wound coils, motors, solenoids, instruments, inductors, speakers, electromagnets, and other applications that require tight coils of insulated wire.

This is real copper! It's inorganic!

This is real wire! It's made of copper and looks absolutely 100% natural (I'm pretty sure it's made without hormones or antibiotics, but I'll admit I'm wrong). And it conducts electricity! Enamel coating - well, real enamel! At least as far as I can tell. (Maybe it's fake enamel, but it's insulating and I can't tell real from fake enamel.) Is this a great product or what?

Pros
  • BNTECHGO Magnetic Copper Wire is widely used in the construction of transformers, coils, motors, solenoids, instruments, inductors, speakers, electromagnets and other applications that require tight coils of insulated wire.
Cons
  • Unsure

Use it to find splinters of metal in your hand

Excellent material, enamel holds up well. The bobbin can become tangled if you pull it too hard while winding. Take care and you will be happy. I wrapped this wire around a cardboard tube in tight turns and glued it in place. By hooking it up to my stereo's subwoofer wires, I was able to increase the output, and as I walked over the metal splinters in my skin, the fluctuating magnetic field allowed me to feel where they were so they could be removed. I'm happy!

Pros
  • This lacquered copper wire has a high quality enamel insulation. The 155Β°C (311Β°F) temperature range makes it suitable for multiple thermal overload applications. based on the NEMA MW-35-C standard.
Cons
  • Expensive

Ideal for "bodge wires "

Nice thin magnet wire that can be used to make things (transformers, motor windings, magnets etc) and to repair and modify circuit boards. This material is readily available, so we stock it in the lab. While it doesn't withstand heat like "silicone or teflon coated white wire", solid core magnet wire bends more easily on the board. and also burn in part of the insulation with an iron. Much better than trying to strip the 30ga wire.

Pros
  • The magnet wire is a copper wire coated with a thin layer of insulating varnish. This 16AWG magnet wire weighs 1.0 pounds (123 feet). , and protects the spiral wire from short circuit.
Cons
  • Only available in white
