Too easy - musical toy

I love the mirror - and so does the child. Everything else is not very good. But he doesn't make a sound every time she hits him. Press once and you have about 3-5 seconds of "freestyle" before a pre-programmed song (one of 2 or 3) plays. So she doesn't do anything special. It would be nice if it was one setup and the other just a stupid freestyle that only makes noise when it hits it. We have a second drum that works like this and she prefers it.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • Almost never

Your kid needs this drum!

My son (9 months) LOVES this toy. He's a bit of a drummer - he basically beats everything. We called him Bam Bam. Either way, it's the perfect toy for an energetic toddler. The music is fun and a lot less annoying than what you hear in these toys. There is an option to learn about colors and another for numbers. The mirror surface is fun for the baby and easy to clean. Light weight means he can pick it up easily. It even came with batteries, which I love because this busy mom doesn't have time…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Great toy! ' Lead acid batteries

My 1 year old loves this toy and plays with it all the time! This is one of the few "sonic toys" I've found that isn't very annoying to hear all the time. The mirror and the light are particularly fun for him and are very strong. It would be an absolute 5 star rating if there wasn't a problem. This toy came with batteries (a great birthday gift for a child!) but a few weeks ago the toy started stuttering and we realized the batteries must have died. The batteries it contains are lead-acid…

Pros
  • Great price

  • Definitely bad product

Great toy for my 6 month old. Old

I love this toy. As soon as my daughter learned to sit, I wanted this toy. She's too big to be comfortable lying on her stomach, but it would be fine if we held her in our arms, it wouldn't be as fun. She's in her 'waving her hand and unknowingly thrashing' phase. So we gave her this drum and it's really nice that she plays it. Obviously it's not a real drum, so it's not loud or anything. It counts your beats out loud and has a cool backlight that makes the drum inside appear endless. I love…

Favorite toy in our house

I just received this but this is the second drum we have. My first child had one that we bought at the toy store when it closed and she used it all the time. She danced to the music and she did it very well. He accompanied us everywhere and entertained and comforted her in the car (and she HATED being in a car). Needless to say, I often opened the door and the drum fell onto the sidewalk, and other than a few scratches, the drum was fine. Also the fact that I allowed it in the car for a long…
