Can really hit!

My 8 month old daughter loves this toy! The songs he plays aren't very annoying, so that's a win for mom, too. We let her pat it while she sits in the high chair waiting to be fed. This little drum kit really can take a beating, it keeps falling on a wooden floor and it still works! Definitely recommended!

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Big and chunky

Junk Food Toys at Baby & Toddler Toys

This toy doesn't really teach about cause (pressing a button) and effect (playing a sound) because it plays so much. You can press the buttons and the music and lights will turn off for a very long time. They also sometimes turn off without pressing the buttons. I wouldn't say they play drums either. The "drum" setting just plays more annoying music.

Pros
  • Hands-Free Operation
Cons
  • Modern

Funny but the light is bright

Drum with two play modes: animal sounds and melodies. I would also have preferred to have solo drum sound modes with no additional sounds. She entertains the child, she is not heavy and bulky, she can easily move it by herself. I gave 3 stars because the lights are very bright. You could use a more opaque finish for the drums.

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Great concept that lacks execution

The concept is great but the light is flashing too intensely and too fast for a child to play with. Reduce the intensity of the light by 75% and increase the duration of the light by 100%, mute the music beat and I think that would be perfect. The numbers are approximate, your mileage may vary, but my goodness, the intensity of this toy is way too high.

Very bright lights!

Bought for my son when he was 4 months old so he can sit up. He likes it. You can only make noise with TOP music that's already playing, and it took my son some time until he realized that he was actually pushing something. I wish there was a setting so he could hit the pads with no background music. There's also no sound setting - it's quite loud. Finally, the lights are VERY bright and seem to hurt my son's eyes when playing in a darker room.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • Discontinued

Drums are unstable and handles come off too easily

My 8 month old son doesn't like it. I think it's too early for him to understand how drums (buttons) work. My friend's pediatrician says that the child must be at least 12 months old for such a toy. But that's not a problem, because I just have to wait until it grows a little more. The problem is that the drums don't work as they should. Each drum has its own agenda - sometimes it starts the music, sometimes it doesn't. This is very inconsistent. Also, the handle is useless because it comes off

Pros
  • Pleasant
Cons
  • Some cons

I haven't found many toys that our kids wouldn't like, but I'm really not a fan of this one. Our kids aren't even sitting up and the little handle broke off several times in less than a week of use. Also, there is only one volume setting - HIGH. And the lights are super blindingly bright. I bought it for them to use when they're prone and when they're practicing sitting, but for those reasons I'm not very keen on getting their faces that close to have light. We retrieve it when they are seated…

Pros
  • Decent performance
