Just what I needed - Steps

Not too big; not too small. Just what I needed for my caravan so I could get up and stand on the cooler to access the caravan roof top tent. Seems to be strong. I'm happy with that.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Nothing

Returning for any reason I don't have to pay shipping costs

Returns for any reason should be free, which is why I am charged for the return postage. P/N FS2797 CH "Folding step" There is no way to attach the item to my truck to make it work without the Retto main fitting.

Pros
  • Easy to install
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The price was good too.

I have a custom truck for work I put it in the bed and boy do they make life easier. The price was good too. I got my second set today. I got my first set for my truck last week and I love them! Good wide and deep step. It makes it a lot easier to climb into the back of my truck. I took a second front body kit so I could get to the front of the ladder racks.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Compatibility

While it was very sturdy, I was disappointed with the fit and lack thereof.

While very durable I was disappointed with the fit and lack of burrs. The casting was very sharp and the hinge so stiff it could bend any vehicle panel except maybe a tank. Nevertheless, after being disassembled, deburred with a grinder and polished, the hinge now opens and closes without Herculane's intervention.

Pros
  • Quality Construction
Cons
  • Quality

Very durable step for heavy duty applications. The packing/packaging should be stronger, but this can be a problem when handling the UPS. The spring (open/close) is very firm and very difficult to open and close. You will need to use a soft bench vise to hold it open/closed. Nice solid crotch but needs to be folded/unfolded more gently to avoid damaging the truck attachment point.

Pros
  • Robust finish
Cons
  • Crumpled finish

Nice step up, but "diamond teeth " are sharp

This is a big step up. It's heavy and feels super powerful. A little difficult to open and close. We put a good dose of lube in it and I can raise and lower it with my hands. The "diamond teeth" above are sharp and will cut you. I put on my own thin layer of rubber so it doesn't hurt my legs when I get up and out of bed in my gooseneck trailer. I would have given 5 stars if the "teeth" weren't so sharp.

Pros
  • Weight
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Stable step but rough cast

Thank God it was cast aluminum, otherwise I would have had to send it back. This step is exactly what I wanted, but the processing of the step was pretty crude. The back of the footpeg actually hit the bracket when you tried to open it, making it impossible to fully open. Luckily since it's aluminum I was able to sand down the offending material and coating to make it usable. A left turn signal will easily cut you if you don't grind/sand it.

Pros
  • New
Cons
  • Piggy bank Price

Great for boat trailers

I'm getting older and I don't jump on and off the boat like I used to. I started looking for the best way to help me get on and off at a reasonable price. I found it and am very happy with it. I'm a big guy and these things are very strong. They also fold up and down which is a plus. They also help my petite wife get on the boat. I attached one of these to the frame next to my trailer's fender. I mounted the second on the drawbar of the trailer. You will need to purchase mounting bolts, nuts…

Pros
  • Delivery was very quick
Cons
  • Appearance

Very large heavy step for my heavy F350

I used it to build a second high step on my F350's 8ft platform. I installed it 5 inches behind the fuel door. I cut the gray Trex decking boards available from Lowes to reinforce the slab. I made a U-bolt with Trex and 4 7/16 wide screws to fit very snugly between the steel paneling of the truck body and the door panel, then I inserted stainless steel screws to attach them to the side of the bed. I then made a paper template with trimmed edges for the fold step's screw holes and drilled a very

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Does not fit all
