mixed goods bag for grinding and finishing materials

You will receive a bag of 60pcs mixed radial discs made in China. The color and grain do not match the 3M discs, so be sure to print them out from the product description. There is definitely a difference between them and 3M, they are very low quality. The spikes are nothing special, 3 of one size, 3 of another. I would buy radial 3M.

Not as good and flexible as 3M but they work.

I thought it was the same piece of plastic disk in different colors. That's not true, these are different grains. If you use them on flat surfaces, they're probably great. They aren't as flexible as 3M drives and don't work as well in tight spaces. 3M 80-grit sanding penetrates tight corners and eliminates fluff from wood carvings. This brand's 80 grit erases every detail, and you could probably carve wood sculptures with it.

Larger and more robust 3m product

Discs are plastic bagged and labelled. Came with thorns 3/3. I use silicon wheels to work my silver and the wheels are a welcome change for getting into the corners around the bezels. They are rigid and not flexible and you can mount 3 discs on the mandrels that come with them and 2 on the mandrels I have. Waiting for the first set to wear out to be able to fit in the ring. The price is great compared to well-known brands. I wish they had higher numbers like 1500 or 2000.

Cons
  • Expensive

Different colors, same grit

I examined these grinding wheels under a magnifying glass. Although they come in 6 different colors and are marked with different grind levels, the bristles are identical. They are neither thin nor thick. They are not softer or rougher. They are neither closer nor further away. Aside from the color, they are exactly the same. If you want 60 bristle discs, this set will do. If you want 10 of the 6 different levels of wear, look elsewhere. Oh, and 1 of the 4 rods had a stripped screw/thread and…

Cons
  • Big and bulky

Be careful - - - suitable for abrasives and finishing materials

First reaction is that the bristle discs are fine - functionally equivalent to a 3m product. But - - - buyers should be aware of two possible issues with this product: 1. The color coding does not match 3M. The description in the Revain ad defines the granularity for each of the colors.2. The description says the kit comes with 6 - 5mm (1/8") mandrels. I had six mandrels but only three were 1/8"; the other three were the smaller 3/32" mandrels, which are also a standard size. The idea of having
