Useless product - 'super magnets' are not. When used as intended, the unfixed part used to indicate the location of the socket is just "kinda" aligned with the part plugged into the socket. It's more accurate and a lot cheaper to just use a drywall saw, miter saw, or rotozip at the exit (measuring plus or minus an inch or two isn't that hard, is it?!) and then cut, find the edges of the box, and then "cut".

I don't know why anyone gives less than 5 stars. Used it for a kitchen renovation and installed about 15 boxes, everything turned out perfect. The quickest, easiest, and most accurate way I've ever installed switch boxes. This product is worth the money and I highly recommend it. I'm a DYI guy NOT an expert. I have gutted all the interior walls of my 1930's house. This was the first hole I made with this tool. Since the house is 90 years old, it is essentially a drafty country house. Lines and walls are not all square. I used this to make it easier to find and cut out cutouts. It's worth it, and it pays off in time savings and no headaches. I cut this hole a little big but it was accurate and works great. Experienced carpenters may find it redundant, BUT. I'm just a guy

This is a good accessory to help you avoid the constant measuring when installing drywall, but it's not perfect. While the magnets helped determine where the exit was in relation to the drywall, the biggest problem I had was that after cutting out the exit, I had to cut out an extra area for the drywall to fit properly. I had a new barn and wanted to put in heavier walls to support heavy loads. I knew it would be difficult to cut holes in material that thick. After some research I came across blind marking products. After simply inserting the markers into the screw holes of the exits, placing the board against them and attaching the marker magnet; I was able to follow the sound and you can see that one of the first two holes was cut.
