I enjoy my hot shower again.

We had some problems with the water when we took a shower, hot water only lasted about 10 minutes before it started to cool down. After some research on the internet, these heating elements turned out to be the likely culprit. It took about 10 minutes to get the old shells out and replace and voila. the task is solved. Now we have plenty of hot water. Just follow the instructions or find a youtube video before replacing them as you must turn off the electrical switch before opening the water…

good inexpensive repair/upgrade of your old water heater

i took two of these to replace in my *old* water heater. The upper one was leaking in the gasket area and the lower one was burned out. These two tightened, sealed perfectly, and went to work as soon as I turned on the heat. I even turned the thermostat down about 15 degrees on each element and they still seem to heat the water to a higher temperature than the old ones. It's been almost a month and I think at this point it's safe to say they will keep going until the 15 year old heater rots or…

A great concept poorly implemented?

I was very pleased with the price of this item. There were similar ones available at comparatively low prices, so I wasn't too worried about the quality. Replaced the top and bottom elements in the water heater. Specs matched and deflation and inflation were done properly (I'm not a beginner). The elements worked great for about two weeks. One day I noticed that I had to constantly regulate the cold water in the shower as I was slowly losing heat. The next day I woke up with no hot water. After

Everything seems to be just as good.

Good looking. Serves its purpose, the price is right (cheaper than local, free shipping (with Prime)). I would give this 5 stars because the shipper was very fast and it looks like a good device. Just as good as anything you buy locally. One star deducted because of the packaging. I secretly laughed at the review where the reviewer complained about the plastic. Well, now I see what he/she was complaining about. It took me longer to get the damn thing out of the plastic than it did to put it in…

Hard water has made our hot water more expensive and harder to come by.

Our water comes from a deep well and is rich in minerals so slowly but surely it forms limescale (ours was like concrete) on the elements and over time they use more electricity to heat the water to the same temperature. , they need longer for it and the shower time is reduced. There are three types of elements: High Watt Density, Low Watt Density and Ultra Low Watt Density with high wattage, most likely the element found in a new water heater. They all have the same wattage, but lower-density…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
