According to the instructions, the size is 1 size larger.

After researching I found out that they should be bought a full size up. My 4 year old wears size 10 sneakers and we tried size 11 and 11.5 in dance shoes. The 11.5 had a lot of room in the toe box so we went to the 11 which had a better fit and room to grow. They can accommodate a wide foot as they bagged on my son's normal width foot. No complaints from my son about fitness and he loves dancing!

    Pros
    • Good shoes but run small
    Cons
    • The strap is too far back so I had to redo the stitching and move it forward.

Cute slippers are the best in my rating

I bought these for my 2 year old granddaughter to wear when she wants to dance or with cute little dresses. She loves to dance in it. They fit great. I bought two sizes because I realized the first was too small. She may be able to wear them for another month. But they're not expensive and she loves them, so I went ahead and bought a size up.

    Pros
    • Bought this for my 8 year old who does ballet. She has tiny and narrow feet that fit her perfectly.
    Cons
    • The product is too small! I ordered size 8, that's five

Not like in the photo. in my rating

I ordered these apartments because the reviews were good and I liked the daisies that were supposed to be inside. When I received the flats they didn't have the daisies they advertised on the inside but most importantly the glue holding the shoes together was strewn all over the place. He is also unkempt on the outside. I couldn't return them as my daughter had already gone to 2 classes without the right shoes. But I was very disappointed and if I could I would definitely go back.

    Pros
    • My granddaughter had no complaints so I assume she was very happy with this pair.
    Cons
    • The strap broke after wearing it twice. Less than an hour each time

    Thanks for the great selection!

Soft leather, comfortable fit for our little girl with slightly wide feet. Elastic cords need to be cut and glued inside for practice. Good product!

    Pros
    • Great for toddlers and toddlers
    Cons
    • May not provide adequate traction on some dance floors.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Those are my little pros and cons

The quality seems normal, but these things are tiny! Much narrower than expected and I would say 1-2 sizes smaller than advertised.

    Pros
    • The shoes are well made with good materials and fit perfectly.
    Cons
    • Shoes look good but run very small, ordered a size up and still too small

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    You are not small.

I ordered 1 medium and 1.5 wide for my daughters who wear size 13 and 1 sneakers (I ordered more than her usual size based on other reviews). You are huge on it. I tried 1M on my daughter with big feet and they are still a bit big.

    Pros
    • Very pretty but not white to match flower girl dresses, more like ivory.
    Cons
    • When they arrived there was a yellow stain on the leg strap

    Revainrating 4 out of 5

    Order normal shoe size

I read many reviews saying to order 1 or 1.5 sizes bigger than the shoe size but that was not the case at all and I ended up with a shoe that turned out to be too big for me . I would take the normal size.

    Pros
    • Seamless design prevents blistering and irritation.
    Cons
    • Only available for online purchase which may limit access for some dancers.

Great quality, my daughter loves it

Great quality, my daughter needed something to play on our wooden floors in winter. They can slip a little, but not as bad as her socks or the regular slippers that she no longer wears. My 2 year old daughter asks for her "ballerina flats" and it's amazing! She doesn't dance but I did and I would wear these. Great quality for the price too.

    Pros
    • They were perfect for her first dance class!
    Cons
    • I bought a size 7 because it was true to size but it didn't.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    You are very small

They are good quality but very small and took a while to get here. Now I have to send it back and probably not exchange it because of the long delivery time

    Pros
    • Perfect fit and quality flats. Thanks for the quick exchange.
    Cons
    • Very small, not very good quality and sending back as expensive as the shoes themselves.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for my boy in my rating

I thought my 4 year old son wouldn't fit in these 13.5 but they have room to grow. He says the shoes are comfortable. He wears size 12 shoes.

    Pros
    • Soft leather and cotton lining provide support
    Cons
    • May become slippery after prolonged use

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Perfect for ballet beginners

They are perfect for ballet beginners. We've bought cheaper ones from Target and here and they ended up with broken straps or badly worn toes. They're a little more expensive, but the quality of Capezio can't be beat.

    Pros
    • Wide range of sizes for growing feet
    Cons
    • May not provide adequate arch support for those with high arches.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    Poor quality in my opinion

They are very cute but the strap falls apart after a 45 minute dance lesson and my daughter is only 4.5 years old so she is very careful with her stuff.

    Pros
    • Classic ballet pink complements most dancewear.
    Cons
    • May not be suitable for all dance styles or genres.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

    Not suitable for wide feet.

Unfortunately, if your child has wide feet or a high instep, they will not fit. The elastic is too tight, even with a large width. I even tried calling Capezio to see if they sell rubber bands so I can try replacing them with wider rubber bands but they don't. I just cut everything and it's good enough for now.

    Pros
    • The low-profile design keeps the foot flexible
    Cons
    • Cannot withstand constant wear and tear

    Revainrating 2 out of 5

The floor has almost come off.

I ordered them at the last minute. Came with a slightly torn bottom. could make it work for her solo concert, but in general. nope

    Pros
    • Great! Very soft...great for little ballerinas
    Cons
    • I ordered shoes in the same size my child wears regularly and the slippers ended up being two sizes too small.

    Revainrating 1 out of 5

    Arrived stained with blood/feces/syrup?

When I took them out of the box they had a few spots that looked like dried blood, diarrhea, or some kind of syrup. There are two spots on the outside of the shoe and then it looks like there are leaks under the insole as well. I tried to contact the seller but couldn't find a way to do so.

    Pros
    • Helps young dancers develop proper arches
    Cons
    • May be overpriced for families on a budget

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good buy if you know what size to take

My young daughter loves to dance at our house and since I grew up dancing I wanted to give her her first pair of capezios. She loves her very much! The Capezio website recommends starting with shoes that are 1-1.5 sizes larger than street shoes. I chose to go two sizes up as she would wear them with thin socks and to give her room to grow and they fit well in tights too. (She is normally a 5.5 year old baby and I bought her for a 7.5 year old baby.) When she starts ballet class I will put her…

    Pros
    • Versatile footwear for ballet, jazz and contemporary activities.
    Cons
    • May not be as well known or respected as other dance shoe brands.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

The size has doubled in my review.

Ordered Capezios in size 13.5 (my child's shoe size) and they were very narrow and narrow. Went to a Capesio seller who measured my child's foot and explained that the Capesios are very small. Size up to 2.5.

    Pros
    • I like them, they do what I expected
    Cons
    • My daughter usually wears a size 6 in most shoes, a size 6 was small. I would recommend increasing the size.

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

Exactly in size! in my rating

DO NOT go up in size like the other reviews mentioned. My daughter wears number 12 shoes so I took the advice of other reviews and got 1 and they are HUGE. I would order a normal size.

    Pros
    • Nothing special, just regular apartments.
    Cons
    • Beautifully worked ballerinas, however, should be larger. Ordered my daughter's exact size and it was too small.

    Revainrating 3 out of 5

Runs small even for dancing shoes.

They are very small and narrow. After trying different brands, we found that Stelle shoes fit my daughter who has a wider foot.

    Pros
    • Gorgeous little ballerinas! Perfect for dancing!
    Cons
    • The fingers are not true to size and are very tight

    Revainrating 5 out of 5

    Ideal for beginner ballerinas

I did a lot of research and this capezio is the best fit for my aspiring dancer. And the quality of the leather is excellent. I think the price is better than the quality. I like them very much and so does my daughter. You are so comfortable.

    Pros
    • Ballerinas are good for our daughter. It is easy to put on and take off by yourself. Excellent quality.
    Cons
    • Small
