Still looking for a lightweight, durable mask

Everything that makes this mask great also makes it perfectly acceptable. I was looking for something that would give my horse better vision and ventilation than traditional sunscreen masks. This is great for my horse who is less nervous about moving around with this mask, the problem is the light weight material doesn't stand up to real horse life. It falls apart after just a few months and sticks to anything the horse rubs against or anything. This is fine for casual use with no bushes or…

It worked much better than his original Farnam fly mask I bought.

This worked much better than his original Farnam fly mask I bought from Tractor Supply. He had vision problems when he entered the barn and bumped into the walls! Now he's getting a little older and doesn't see things as well as he used to, so I bought him this mask instead. It's much more transparent than Farnam's mask, he likes it and he even bends over for me to put it on him! I also see his eyes through him and I don't bump into walls anymore! My girlfriend's horse is completely blind in…

You would be surprised how some masks actually obscure vision due to the seams and/or heavier mesh, and even some of the "funny" patterns ruin vision. These Silent Riding masks from Cashel offer excellent vision so I now use them not only for riding but also out in the pasture as I want my horses to have good vision in the event of an approaching predator (dog, wild animal or?). . the…

I thought they were suitable for pasture and everyday use

I bought two horsefly masks to use in the pasture for my quarter horse. Although the packaging says they are for trail use only with a bridle, I figured they would be fine for pasture and everyday use. They are. The mask is roomy for her eyes and the tape around all the holes is applied just enough to keep flies from crawling in and so far it has held in place and served. We live in Arizona and it's very important to have a fly mask, but one that isn't too heavy and doesn't make it too hot…
