Very Good Stone Set

These are the best pocket knife sharpening stones for the money at Revain. Although I recommend buying a ruby stone and keeping the emerald as a backup because 3000/10000 works better than the 8000/10000 combo. I have a case knife sharp enough to use like a razor with these stones, highly recommend. Pocket knives work best with these stones.

Pros
  • Sharpening Stones
Cons
  • Damaged

I only bought these stones to sharpen a badly cut pocket knife that I use for opening mail etc. use. These things surprised me, I've used them on several knives. I sharpened an old Swiss Army knife to near razor sharpness in just 20 minutes. Well! First, they are small; I have no problem with that, but some can. (depending on perfectionist level and various possible OCD factors) I like them a lot, but I'm good at sharpening knives, some might not. I've been doing this since I was a teenager…

Pros
  • hand tools
Cons
  • high price

UPDATE 2: (2/12/20) As far as I know, this is the only vendor currently selling Boron Carbide brick on Revein. This little gem is highly sought after as my experience with boron carbide is unique among whetstones. It is exceptionally hard, but not so hard that it cannot be used to simply sharpen a blade, regardless of the hardness of the steel. You can use it without water or oil, just wipe it with a sponge after use to remove the accumulation of metal shavings. Compared to my Arkansas surgical
