Gives wood a stunning look

We use Clarks products in all our wooden chopping boards and cookware. I also recently installed about 40 feet of a butcher bench in my garages. I sanded them lightly, then applied 2 coats of oil (wait 24 hours between coats) and then applied 1 coat of wax. Came out beautiful. If I scratch them, a light sanding and some wax restore them to their perfect condition. I highly recommend these products, especially in contrast to the polyurethane on the cutting board workbench. Smells good too. Tip…

Works great on cutting boards and wooden handles

I was very happy with the product. low odor I reordered the oil as I had already used more than half as the old cutting boards were quite porous. The wax will go a little further as I didn't have to use much, but it seems to help seal in the oil after I've treated the wood. Some of my cutting boards are very old and looking nice again. My only downside is that the oil cap allows it to run down the side of the bottle and puddle at the bottom when you put the bottle down. I removed the dispenser…

40 Year Old Refurbished Chopping Board

I made this chopping board for my mother on a purchasing class about 40 years ago. He has never undergone any treatment other than what I did in the workshop. Mom hardly used it because she didn't want to ruin it. Many years later she gave it back to me so I could use it properly. I sanded it to remove cutting marks. When I applied Clark's mineral oil, the damp fur soaked it up like a sponge. I applied more every 30 minutes or so. It took several days for the cutting board to stop "drinking"…

Great finishing product for your wooden cutting boards!

I am very happy with the results of using Clark cutting boards. The first two photos are intended to show the rough condition of the cutting board before the painting process. I started by sanding the board to remove years of plaque. The third and fourth photos show the board after sanding. I then used Clark cutting board soap and let it dry completely for 24 hours. The fifth and sixth photos show the cutting board after it has been cleaned and dried. I then used Clark's Cutting Board Oil and…

Switched to Clark's from another big brand

One of my passions is making cutting boards for friends and family. After trying Boos Oil and Cream on some of my recent cutting boards, I decided to try Clark's Oil and Wax on my newest board as it contains antimicrobial orange and lemon extracts and carnauba wax. The scent is very subtle but very pleasant. The oil absorbs quickly and completely into my thirsty, dry wood. The wax leaves a nicer shine than Boos cream, likely due to the inclusion of a harder carnauba wax in addition to beeswax…

Pros
  • Perfect for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure

I bought this to spruce up a brand new but long abandoned end grain cutting board that had dried out so much that there was a small crack between one of the squares of end grain. The main advantage of buying this oil over regular mineral oil from the pharmacy is that it is thinner and therefore absorbs very quickly on the cutting board. As with the first oiling, the board uses a lot more oil initially, especially with end boards. While your mileage may vary depending on how the factory finished

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires an outlet
