Ideal for aluminum boat repairs near or below the waterline.

Closed end rivets are required for work near or below the waterline. The head prevents water from running down the rivet shank.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Rivets break off before fully pulled out

Nice rivets for the price but they all break on the shank before they are fully pulled out. I would take more expensive rivets.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Repair

Rivets break off before fully extended

Good rivets for the price but they all break on the shaft before they are fully extended. I would take more expensive rivets.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions

Excellent rivets are good for rivets

Bought these to patch holes in the transom of my old Lund boat. These worked great. They fit well and make it look like factory work. It looks much prettier than just plugging holes with screws or bolts.

Pros
  • Easy assembly
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.

Buy these good ones for blind rivets

I recently replaced a transom on my boat and bought several brands of closed end rivets like this one. These snapped into place with significantly more effort and finally burst. Almost twice as strong as another brand I've reviewed. I couldn't break them with a one handed pistol grip rivet gun, it required a heavy two handed block. This tells me it's a stronger alloy and offers significantly more clamping force than other brands. Riveting a jonbot isn't something you want to do multiple times…

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
