Ideal for snowflakes.

This review is for the silver version of this thread. I've been using it to crochet snowflakes for years, along with the white and pearlescent versions. I just replenished my "stock" to be ready for my next Christmas projects. I usually use #8 hooks (1.50mm) for #10 yarn. But for that I have to use a slightly larger hook - 1.65mm or 1.75mm - as the extra metal thread increases the diameter of the thread just enough making it difficult to use a smaller hook - it's too easy to hook the thread…

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Doubtful

Pretty but too confusing to work with

I'm ambivalent about yarn. That is beautiful. But you won't get much in one roll. When I first started crocheting I found that it was so twisted that it was impossible to work. The 63-year-old, who learned to crochet when he was nine, saw twisted yarns and threads, but that was by far the worst. I've tried every trick in the book, but it just doesn't sit up straight when you lie down, let alone work with it. I started a project so I'll finish it, but I wouldn't start another project with him…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Metallic Crochet Thread

I bought this cotton thread to make sparkling snowflakes for my grandchildren. I love the sparkle of the silver thread. The ball of yarn is only about 100 yards long so I think it's a bit pricey and I'll be using it mainly for edging and accents. The main problem is the tension in the thread, which causes it to twist as it detaches from the ball. I switched the thread completely from one cardboard holder to the other and tugged on it a bit while winding, hoping it wouldn't twist as much. As you
