This portable cassette player is fine

Not a very good portable cassette player. But after a VERY FAILED attempt to purchase one of these devices from retailers near me (compared to this experience) I am very happy with this item. I bought 3 tape recorders from retailers in my town. The quality of these things is TERRIBLE! (Sounds bad. And/or they fall apart within a week. Or don't play at all!) But what's worse, it's almost impossible to find retailers selling these things now. I'm an "old school" guy with a huge collection of…

Pros
  • Built-in belt clip for hands-free use
Cons
  • Crumpled

Versatile but old technology, good price

I gave this product 4 stars mainly because of its value for money. I recently decided to honorably retire (or use as a spare) a similar device that I bought for $17 when I was in college over 20 years ago and which despite its shabby looks still works well . I also thought it would be a good time to stock up on "old fashioned" tape recorders before they run out. I was surprised to find a new model so similar to my old player back in the 1980's. So far I've been using my new primarily DC powered
