Disappointed with cards

The weight of the paper appears to be even less than 65 lbs. The color is matte black, not bright. Not recommended for card makers or scrapbookers.

Pros
  • Fingers crossed
Cons
  • Unsure

Great price for quality!

Excellent solid black. Some of the packs I've bought in the past have faded to black. The cards are of good thickness and when I need to remove the tape it's easy...it doesn't come off.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Operating speed

Printed black paper, white center

Not real black paper but black printed paper. You can see the edges as you cut. I use it for Halloween treats so it's fine. The weight is good, it holds its shape well when assembled. Better value than most $$ craft stores. It's like a 70 to 80 pound share.

Pros
  • Same as before
Cons
  • No instructions

Strange texture and smell?

I had high hopes for this board and liked the price. But it has a really weird texture and a white core that you can see if you cut it open. I've used it for wall art and put HTV vinyl on it and the smell when the paper gets hot is nasty. Probably good for scrapbooking but not good for making greeting cards/wall art.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • No paint required

Not for papermaking

If you use this paper like this without folding it, you should be fine. However, if you try to fold it, remember that the paper will also tear with a notch, and the color will not be solid, that is, the torn part will be white. I couldn't use it and ended up going to the local store and bought Martha Stewart paper which is great for my needs.

Pros
  • Pack width 12.0 inch
Cons
  • High price

White inside

I bought this set of cards to decorate the tables at my wedding. The only problem I had with this deck of cards was that the INSIDE of the paper is white instead of black. So if the paper is cut or torn, you will see white. What I used it for was the paper folded to form a kind of "tent" and the top folded part of the paper started to fray showing a lot of white. So be aware if you're using it for anything that involves folding or cutting it.

Pros
  • Pack height 1.05 inch
Cons
  • Expensive

Uneven white on each page

Pages are very smooth which is great but each page has uneven white in the corners so it cannot be used as a full page without clipping a section . In addition, there are white dotted lines at the top of each page that appear perforated but are not. When I cut the page with a precision knife it wasn't very clean, but when I pressed harder it cut through to the next page. I've tried putting a hard surface under the side but the line is too close to the binding.

Pros
  • Package length is 12.75 inches
Cons
  • unreliable
