Doesn't work for me.

The top and bottom tool turned out to be very good quality and had my high side service port included a core I think it would have worked. My 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 truck didn't have a removable core on the high side. Looks like you need to replace the entire service port housing on my truck. However, I think these tools would be a life saver for most cars or a low side service port on my 2003 GMC Sierra 1500 truck.

Pros
  • Valve core remover adjustable to fit other valve cores
Cons
  • Out of style

This works well but requires some work

This works well but requires some work. I had to allow a small amount of gas to escape through the threads so the gas could be used to fire the valve out the outside of the tool. Simply unscrew the schrader valve, remove the key, close the valve, vent the take-off side, and quickly open the valve again for the schrader to fire on the outer section. Then close the valve and remove the shredder. Try again if this didn't work. Installation was very easy.

Pros
  • Built-in ball valve holds charge and allows access to car air conditioners
Cons
  • Useless features

It works, but with a little finesse.

They were the perfect replacement for the Schrader valve on my Chevy AC truck. I had to bend the U shaped part that sticks to the schrader valve. I just used a small hammer to slightly bend the sides. Use your new Schrader valve to figure out how much to bend the sides. If you don't catch the Schrader valve the first time, just set the "trap" and try again. Nothing wrong with that. This setting is quite tedious, but for one-time use it is significantly cheaper than buying an expensive set or…

Pros
  • High and low side closed couplers
Cons
  • Not bad but...
