better than expected

Wow, better than expected. Excellent construction, apart from a few plastic latches I'd say on par with my Maxpedition. The buckles can be swapped out if needed, no problem, they just feel lighter. Form? It's personal taste but the pockets and storage are great for me, I have a first aid kit and a Geigerrig Hydration Engine resident, I add foldable spaces for other external storage, the large computer bag fits my 13-inch -MacBook, haven't tried it again, PC everything doesn't carry it anyway…

This is quality equipment.

first impression: excellent. Haven't hit that cancer yet so let that color this review but I've been messing around with military gear most of my life. This is IS military equipment. Thick material, good stitching and good fit. Will he survive the fight? Unknown but seems to work as well as anything I (Navy) have ever produced. When he puts it on, he feels comfortable. • not bad, but...

In particular, I wanted a bag that could be used for hiking and camping (so it needed to have a bottom strap to distribute the weight), but I also wanted a bag with a laptop compartment so I could use it as carry-on when traveling. Other than that, I just wanted a bag that looks cool and can take a beating. The Condor Venture backpack does it…

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Out of fashion

It is comfortable and the waist belt relieves pressure.

I bought this backpack for a ruck competition. So far he has completed two 6-hour events and several training runs and holds the weight up to 30 pounds very well. It's comfortable and the waist belt takes the strain off your shoulders. I originally had the 5.11 24hr Rush bag which is one of the best bags in this category. I liked the overall design and quality of the 5.11 bag, but it doesn't have a waist belt. It puts all the weight right on my shoulders and doesn't work for me over 15 pounds…
