Description of πŸ”Œ Copper Terminal Connectors with Adhesive Coating

Includes pure copper cable lugs + black & red heavy duty dual wall adhesive lined heat shrink tubing. Use selection tabs to choose cable lug gauge/stud size and package quantity. Pure copper cable lugs are designed to fit solid or stranded cable. Cable can be crimped or soldered to cable lug. Cable lug utilizes a closed end design to keep moisture and other contaminants from entering and degrading or corroding the copper cable. Flared cable lug entry hole allows for the easy insertion of cable. Dual wall, polyolefin heat shrink tubing contains a heat activated adhesive/glue which creates a seal to prevent water, solvents, and salts from entering into the cable. Package includes 1.5 inches of heat shrink tubing per cable lug (half black and half red). Heat shrink tubing shrink ratio is approximately 3 to 1 (shrinks to 1/3 of its original diameter). Heat shrink tubing ratings: Temperature: -55Β°C to 105Β°C Voltage: 600V.

Too small! at Industrial Electrical

Connector quality is good, but the 2/0 gauge connectors I ordered barely match the 1/0 gauge cable I have. This will not work for 2/0 gauge wire! I thought my first order was just a minor mistake so I returned it and tried to order again but both times the 2/0 gauge fittings were too small. I can't say anything about other plug sizes. I will just keep them for myself and maybe use them in the future or give them to a friend as a gift. My local store has true 2/0 connectors but they cost a lot…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires socket

Great spade lugs, cheap heat shrink

These spade lugs are made of pure copper for better connection and conductivity. They are well made, designed to take heavy loads and the copper is thick and very strong. My 2/0 AWG wire fit perfectly and was crimped perfectly making a fantastic cold weld. The shrink tubing that came with it was immediately thrown in the bin. Too thin and they offer no protection. I used my own high quality heat shrink tubing for a strong and well protected connector. I find these tips to be very high quality…

Pros
  • Very effective
Cons
  • boring packaging

Tips are ok, heat shrink tubing is too big

Lugs fit my 1/0 gauge wire perfectly. However, the heat shrink they sent is massive - most likely a 4/0. It doesn't hold onto the tip or cord (and yes, I used a proper heat gun to compress it). I have my own correct size heat shrink tubing, but since I had already crimped the tabs I had to cut off one end to add the heat shrink tubing. That means wasted tip (which doesn't come cheap) and in some cases a broken cable because I sized it exactly for my needs. It just seems like poor quality…

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
