Good product for this money! Entry level/student headset

Very comfortable, AUX port works fine but not sure about ANR. I may have received a faulty product, I'm not sure. Although the default noise reduction is pretty real. The sound is a bit hoarse, but I like it. The only major downside is that I noticed your passenger making a strange noise when talking to ATC. At first I thought something was wrong with the plane because it was making a splashing noise. It's quiet though, and once you get the hang of it, it's not bad at all for the price.

  • Satisfied so far

MICROPHONE DOES NOT WORK IN CLASS B!

Used twice in 2 hour flights - mic stopped working after 60 and 80 minutes respectively. The replacement of the headset worked correctly. The device was delivered without an information booklet and it was only after visiting the website that I realized that ANR only works when connected to an aircraft. The device is heavier than some ANRs and looks cheaper than many other systems. You get what you pay for! I returned the device for a refund. It's not good to see that you can't talk to Approach…

Not very effective in headsets and intercoms

Noise cancellation in headsets does not work well. I usually wear a hat and sunglasses. It seems to affect the seal of the earbuds. Every time I turned my head, the noise-cancellation changed and I heard a burst of sound. Also, the audio was very harsh and I had trouble understanding some of the calls. The sidetone was tinny and my calls to the radio were accompanied by a lot of hiss. I also don't like the huge battery compartment. It has a clip, which you should probably use to attach it to…

This headset deserves 5 stars for its performance compared to the competition at this price point, but why on earth does it use a 9V battery?! AA would be incredibly handy as I already use it for all my other devices. Instead I had to find a 9V rechargeable battery which costs $40 using an Energizer charger or a cheaper EBL box which I bought but the batteries are too wide for the case so you disassemble the case must once they are in . A massive oversight and I'm very curious as to why they…

Great buy for the money.

Finished PPL with it and have been using it for about 60 hours since. Good headset for its money. Pros: You get features like ANR and fabric-covered gel earpads for a lot less than most companies that offer them. They were quite mistreated (loosely stored in a backpack with books and other flight gear). I had a problem when they stopped working very early, I sent them, they sent them back and they've been solid ever since. So I can't knock customer service. Cons: Ear cups tend to come loose if…

Works well; Great Value - Later updated stereo switcher

This ANR headset was tested on my C210 and works well. Very good value for money. I think there are multiple brands selling the same headset made in the same factory. I still have one that I bought under a different brand over a year ago. My only complaint is that there is no switch for the ANR function. It turns on when plugged in and the comms pad is on, and off when you turn it off. I suspect that sometimes this design won't turn off and drains the battery, but I can't prove it. Usually the…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are nuances

This is a 4 star product on the verge of 5 star greatness mainly because of the affordable price of the headset. Overall, this headset offers excellent value for money. The headset does what it should. ANR doesn't have the same attenuation as my Zulu PFX, Zulu.2 or Zulu headsets, but it does moderately attenuate the low end. A little more on this topic below. Several posts mentioned the lack of instructions for the headset; I found that this is not a factor. The headset is pretty much plug and…
