Will not work on 1998 Monte Carlo Z34

I bought this to install Delco racks on a 1998 Monte Carlo Z34. The old racks required a T-50 torx to keep the shaft from rotating. Newer updated racks need something similar BUT this socket is too small. Might work with something but not my car.

Pros
  • Nice to use
Cons
  • old

Worked great on a 2006 Chevy Express 2500 Van

Fits my 2006 Chevy Express 2500 Van. This was also a life saver. I've already done the first punch with a couple of vises. However, the second shock was tripled to super-dense. Without this connector I could not remove the shock absorber. I don't think it's a good replacement for a KYB shock. I put it in there after just looking at it and it didn't fit right. So I guess not all beats are the same.

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

They have sizes! Find out which ones you need.

I don't know how sizes vary between shock manufacturers but you need to work out what size double D bushing (which it is) you need. Both this CTA tool and the OEM socket didn't have sizing information when I bought them a few months ago. Snap On have a range of these that come in 3 different sizes and in my experience these 3 tend to fit most if not all you find. So if you can't find them anywhere cheap, just look for these 3 sizes from different companies. For the Classic Saab 900 stock Sachs…

Pros
  • Great fit for me
Cons
  • No instructions
