Verizon D-Link 2750B version, easy WiFi upgrade

The Verizon D-Link 2750B User Edition looks a bit simpler than the Consumer Edition. Installation is similar to any wireless router. Mine connected directly after connecting. It has special Verizon firmware, so there is no guarantee that it will work on other systems. Even if you use Verizon DSL, you should check if your local system supports it. Since it comes with minimal instructions, it's a good idea to download the full manual. A Google search for "D-Link 2750B manual" returns two. The one

Pros
  • WPS button for wireless one-push encryption
Cons
  • Hard to tell

Not very good. - Computers and Accessories

I had a Verizon when I lived in New Jersey, I had an old cable modem and a Linksys wireless router, the combination worked well. In anticipation of moving out of state, I contacted Verizon and was assured that all the "i,s" are separated and the "t,s" are crossed out. Went through so many hoops and through so many barrels it made my head spin when I got to my new home. I was told that this particular modem was used here. It's a piece of junk. Signal cannot travel more than 15 feet through…

Pros
  • N 300 Wireless Technology: 6X Faster than Wireless G
Cons

It's just your main router

Verizon sent me this router when I told Comcast to push their overpriced services. It's a simple modern router combo, just to help you until you buy a better one. I have to reinstall several times a week. Not great if you stream or game a lot like us. You also need a Wi-Fi booster, if you live in a two story house Netgear is great.

Pros
  • 802.11b/g/n standards, up to 300Mbps (802.11n), frequency range: 2.4GHz to 2.484GHz
Cons
  • Not as good as it says

Ideal for a small space.

Bought for a friend who has never had Wi-Fi in her tiny apartment and it's great! It didn't require a more expensive product to work.

Pros
  • 4 LAN Fast Ethernet ports for wired connections
