Just. Great!

Great design, interchangeable internals, great fit and looks great with the fairing installed. Only 1/4 turn to open/close, so very easy to use. I've found a new inexpensive, durable, and easy-to-maintain method for shower faucets that looks great!

Pros
  • Hard wearing finish
Cons
  • A nuisance

No Valve!: Bedding Accessory

If you are thinking of buying this "Valve" it is not a valve at all. It only accepts incoming hot and cold water and mixes them to reach the set temperature. There is no way to turn the water on or off or adjust the volume. You need shut-off valves before or after this "valve" for your shower to work. I had to tear down the wall in the shower room and put an extra shaft. This limitation should be made clearer.

Great bed valve

This valve solved our shower water pressure problem where our water pressure dropped the hotter you wanted the shower water. Our plumber warned that this might not be the case (probably not wanting to let us down) but thankfully his warning was not needed. We love that we can now have constant water pressure and leave it at the previous setting, ready for the desired water temperature for the next shower.

DIY installation

Valve very durable, very clear installation instructions. I have used this with three (3) volume control valves for my custom shower system. Tips: Make sure you tighten the NPT connections very, very firmly (e.g. two large adjustable wrenches) and preferably (optionally) use thread sealant instead of tape or they will leak. The flap needs to be about 2.5" from the finished wall surface, so using a 1" sheet of plywood to mount it worked great. Good protective cap and rinsing before final use is…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities

3/4 " Thermostatic Mixing Valve - EXCELLENT QUALITY. Thanks Danze

Although I initially had problems with hot water I am completely HAPPY and satisfied with this valve. I am always skeptical about ordering online and the service I get if there are any issues but I have to say it was a pleasure dealing with Danze's service technicians, I'm a plumber by trade so it was easy to explain my situation and the steps to follow took a step fix the valve. after the second cartridge that Danze sent everything works GREAT! and haven't heard from me since. one thing that…

Nice buttons but little design

Nice buttons but be careful if you have OCD as not all my buttons point to exactly the right position. The Danze valve consists of small ribs into which the handle is pressed. If the ribs are not in the right position, the handles will never be straight. You cannot change the position of the ribs as they are part of a molded flap attached to the inside of the wall. Handles and valves look good, but this design flaw needs to be corrected. I used a different brand/valve and handle for my tub…

  • Big and chunky

Not very suitable for a shower head. but this is a wonderful unit

I really liked my latest Danze shower thermostat which was a single unit with a decorative panel and a smaller thermostat knob. Unfortunately I sold this house and this valve is obsolete. For my new home, this new piece design is MUCH more expensive, plus it requires a lot more work to install and takes up more wall space. The seat plate for this valve is huge compared to the actual on/off valve. It seems disproportionate that the giant knob is only for adjusting the temperature, while the…
