Great replacement amp.

My Klipsch ProMedia 2.1 amp is fried so I use a Dayton Audio DTA-2.1BT2 100W 2.1 to power them. I left the old amp board on the subwoofer enclosure, disconnected the subwoofer from the amp board, removed the power cord and used this hole to connect it directly to the subwoofer. Perfectly supplies bookshelf speakers and subwoofers with power. I used a room EQ master with a 2x4 mini DSP to calibrate them and now I think it sounds as good if not better than what Klipsch originally did.

  • Pleasant

Big offer, small package.

With this hooked up to a regular set of damn old monitors and an old passive subwoofer I found in the basement, it seems like a great payoff. It's been almost two months and I love it. It works with a TV and is often used as Bluetooth. Enough power for my average living room should I feel like blowing it up. Of course, you could throw a lot of money elsewhere, but it's not too expensive for the performance. I didn't notice any distortion or strange sound quality. Poor stereo systems annoy meโ€ฆ

Excellent sound; packs some punch.

I bought a Dayton Audio DTA-2.1 to replace my 15 year old tired and fun Cambridge SoundWorks Model 12 Mick Fleetwood Signature Series 2.1 amplifier. The DTA amp is amazing. The amp is half the size, stays cool, and features crystal-clear, long-range built-in Bluetooth. Clarity, stereo separation and overall tone match or exceed the CSE 2.1 amplifier. DTA has a lot of power. Note: I also tried 2 other popular class D 2.1 amps. They were both way behind in terms of performance, tone and freedomโ€ฆ

Great for the money

Honestly I hate that it doesn't automatically disable the previous user when I want to use it and wasn't the last to listen, but I can't really fault the one complain price. My other two options cost four times as much, and since they're only used to power my outdoor porch speakers, I won't bother too much. If I were to use it as an amplifier in a more heavily frequented area, I would hesitate because of the aforementioned feature (unless I live alone. Then: what's the difference!). In terms of

Good amp with limited bass output.ยน

Purchased for onboard Bluetooth, input select, tone controls, dedicated subwoofer output and crossover adjustment. At first glance it looks like the little package has everything I wanted. I have another non-Bluetooth Dayton Class D that I really like (DTA30HP). The overall tone of this model seems lacking at low frequencies, and the tone controls and crossover controls don't help at all. It should perform as well or even better than the DTA30HP, but even after 2 weeks of fairly heavy use withโ€ฆ

Good sound, great value

For a three input 2.1 amp amp with reasonable throttling and built in Bluetooth you can go with this Dayton that comes in at a little more than a Benjamin , hardly anything wrong . I have a pair of Wharfedale Diamond 225s with a Dayton Mini subwoofer (6.5" DIY package) and they are holding up very well. It doesn't get too loud, but loud enough while maintaining stability and good audio. A simple tone control provides ample clarity in the top frequencies, while low-level and crossover controlsโ€ฆ

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Legacy model

Small package, big performance

Dayton Audio dta2.1bt very powerful, very compact device. I currently have two Onkyo bookshelf speakers and a 200w Onkyo passive subwoofer connected to them. I wasn't expecting much from the 100 watt subwoofer channel on this amp, but I was really shocked by how loud he could turn the subwoofer on and how clear the sound was even with the volume control turned all the way up. The crossover frequency control is also very good. I set it to around 80Hz because bookshelf speakers have very goodโ€ฆ
