not as expected. Are they original?

This is for a 2005 Impreza, replacing the NGK spark plugs fitted last year, fuel economy has increased and the car's performance has not improved, I have Iridium Denso on my BMW 325, they are great, me I thought it would be the same with the Impreza but I was so wrong it's been months since I've had them on my car. I'll take them off tomorrow to check clearance. I installed them without doing this.

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Expensive

Don't buy unwanted plugs.

I am a trained mechanic. I put them in my car and thought they were a direct 120,000 mile spark plug replacement. Put them in my Toyota Yaris which has done over 100,000 miles with the first and second sets of spark plugs with no performance issues. These plugs have a .044 to .090 gap at 40,000 miles. And where is the setting of the error codes. Replaced them with NGK Laser Iridium spark plugs. I know NGK is the best but I'm cheap. Live and learn again. what i was thinking.

Pros
  • cool product
Cons
  • something different

BIG FORKS, advice to follow.

I have never tested these puppies on my 4 cylinder engine after 35,000 miles. 1 of 4 was fouled due to a corroded spark plug wire causing a cylinder to misfire and clogged the engine. I only make connectors of the same age so you know what happened to the other four Iridium connectors after one of them got dirty (now I invest more money in good connector cables as well because what a waste of $8 on connectors after 35,000 miles). Don't know if these plugs will last the full 100,000km…

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • No instructions
