Damaged packaging on nails in tape

The outer packaging was quite wrinkled. When opened, the nails in the packaging were loose and the box they came in was in poor condition. I managed to put together a "block" of nails that seemed to show they were all there, just in the box. None of them were unusable or damaged in any way. So I got what I needed and used some of these right away and they worked great.

Pros
  • GOLS certificate
Cons
  • Negative imprint

I got them through a 1 inch sheet for attaching trim.

I got these for fastening trim through 1" drywall at a 45 degree angle. I used a Porter Cable FN250SB nailer and had no problems with these nails - they worked exactly as is I wanted it, including itself, if not properly secured for transport, so be extremely careful when buying with everything else at the same time!

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • Crumpled

Better value and quality than Harbor Freight

I bought 1000 16GA 2-1/2" nails for $7.99 from Harbor Freight thinking it was a good deal but I am now boycotting HF for several reasons.". Went to the Lowes store and they are trying to sell 1000 for $17! This pack of DEWALT nails is the best deal I have found and they are noticeably made from a better metal than the HF brand. When I pulled the first shelf of nails out of the box they looked and felt heavier than the HF brand even though they are both 16GA. No problem when using it in my HFโ€ฆ

They work great with my Metabo HTP Straight nail gun

I insulate my locked booth. The problem I overlooked (and scolded myself for not catching it beforehand) is that the bottom needs to be insulated with R-30. This requires a 9 inch pocket between the floor joists. The problem is that I used 2 x 8 lumber for my floor joists, which only allows for 7 1/2 inches of pocket space. So what to do? Well I ordered some 2 x 2 x 8 plank strips and used these DEWALT DCS16250 2-1/2-attached 16 inch. Finish nails in my Metabo straight finish nail gun and wasโ€ฆ

Better in the second batch

These nails arrived in the first batch with a torn box and nails at the bottom of a large box that contained many other items I had ordered from Revain. And while it can be argued that the packaging of the items is to blame, the box of nails must be strong enough to withstand the impact without breaking and spilling its contents, since the containers of all other items in the box (including others nails) arrived in order. The replacement package came with a whole box.

Pros
  • Nails in tape
Cons
  • No work

Not for outdoor use!

DeWalt modified these nails. The current DSC16250 box is not the one shown on Revain (and most other websites). The new type of box (same item number DSC16250) does NOT say they are galvanized. And the box says "For internal use only". See my uploaded photos! You might also notice that the Revain ad doesn't say they're electroplated either, and the crappy DeWalt website doesn't say they're electroplated. The box pictured will fit, but is not the box that the DSC16250 currently comes in. Superโ€ฆ

They go perfectly with my Metabo HTP Straight Nailer

I insulate my freestanding booth. The problem I missed (and cursed myself for not noticing beforehand) is that the floor needs to be insulated with R-30.
