Dietz Original Lamp Burning Lantern Review

The real product is better than the pictures. I filled it with lamp oil and it works better than my other similar lamps. I recommend it!

Cosmetically very nice lantern. functions are normal. Not the weight of the lanterns from my childhood (70 years ago). You won't see them on ebay in 70 years.

I have a good old Dietz lamp and lots of great Chinese goods. The "Original" Dietz No. 76 is a poorly assembled, leaking piece of junk. It's hard to find a worse example of "Made in China". The lamp is not assembled by craftsmen. There are some metal tabs that need to be bent to hold the lamp together. The tabs are arbitrarily curved. When filling a leaking lamp with oil, I noticed rust on an ill-fitting filler tube. This lamp is poorly assembled and not worth 0.25 of its price.
