This was unlike other brands of wool roving I have purchased. I don't think it was wool. The texture reminded me more of polyfiber stuffing (stuffing for a toy) than roving. I couldn't feel it right with the other yarn I used for my project. I do not recommend it and will not buy it again.

This is a good quality wool roving. I use it to felt my handmade soap and it works great. I usually buy wool rovings from local yarn shops but it was surprisingly hard to find black - pink, purple yes - black no. But as always, Revane saves the day! It's also a decent amount of wool and was the best value for the amount of wool I've found shopping at Revain (this is subject to change of course).

There's a lot of wool in it. The packaging corresponds to the weight. The quality is a bit low. There's a lot of little bits mixed in there, but nothing I couldn't handle for the price. The color is a great solid black, feels light and smooth. I don't think you will find a better supply of wool at this price point. Advantages. Lots of wool for the price. great color It's easy to work with him. Needle felting on fleece.
