Will drill and EZ-out!

It's SUPER! I only bought them for drilling and drilling which broke off trying to pull out the broken Zerk filling. NOTHING will pop out. EZ-Outs are extremely hardened steel and are almost impossible to remove - it's more like having to slowly knock them off. Well, that's exactly what they did. I read somewhere on the web that PCB bits are made of carbide and can be drilled in and out with patience. After trying everything else I was able to buy from the local hardware store - like Carbide…

Breaks easily, breaks when dropped on the ground

I bought them to use with my machine with CNC 3018. The first bit broke after a few minutes. I carved a red oak cross. The depth of cut was 0.5 mm. At first I thought I made a mistake that broke the racquet. When I opened the container to choose another bit, I accidentally dropped 4 bits on the floor. They fell about 2 feet to the floor (I was sitting in a chair at the time). One of the pieces broke when it fell on the floor! The material is of very poor quality. I'm giving this product 2 stars

Pros
  • Extra Fine Carbide: This end mill set is made of extra fine carbide with high hardness, high strength, wear resistance, high cutting speed and resistance to bending
Cons
  • Crumpled

Ideal for marquetry

I have used these to cut trapezoidal inserts into a 12 inch radius granadillo fingerboard. I ordered a stainless steel trapezoidal template from interwebz. I placed it on the fretboard and used a lathe tool with a milling base. Slowly ream the cavity to a depth of approximately 0.0625". By reducing the speed of the drill you can find a middle ground that is too slow to cut steel but still fast enough to cut wood. This will shake the steel template a bit, but it will still hold its shape and be…
