When Duracell's competitor Eveready Energizer started production in China many years ago, I noticed a decrease in battery life and an increase in leaking, corroded batteries soon after the cells were depleted. Nevertheless, I bought these for my XBox controllers. (I only stopped because I got a play and charge set.)
