I'm glad I did because it works great

I saw this handy little tool in a YouTube video and decided to get it. I'm glad I did this because it works great. I used it to fill some holes in an old fender for my Ford truck. I'm an amateur welder so this little device was a breeze and it was very easy for me to fill the holes. Grab one for your tool box, you won't regret it.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Everything is great

Ideal for spot welding thin materials

This saved my life when working with sheet metal in the automotive industry. I just finished my first body panel where I started without this product but ended up with it. man whats the difference. High quality assembly that withstands constant thermal cycling well. Does not stick to welds. Reduces loops. Stops most of the burns I got before I had a sponsor. Makes work easier 100 times.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Works very well, helped not to burn out

Very strong magnet, the dial allows you to align the copper spoon/plate with what you are welding. Tested on 22g and 26g panel with NR-211-MP Lincoln NR-211-MP submerged arc welder with high frequency flux. There will soon be tests with inetub ba71gs. It really helps with those thin plates, can only imagine if you had gas protection. I'm a total newbie and have found this very useful, especially when using a 22g+ submerged arc welder.

Pros
  • All right!
Cons
  • Volume

This tool is AMAZING!

I've always thought about buying this little tool, I have a body shop and I always thought it was just a gimmick. I'm old school and know how to fill small holes with a welder. When I first used this I was amazed at how well it worked and how easily it sealed holes. This is very useful when welding holes in the roof of a car. It also works very well for holding small metal patches in holes. This is a necessary item!

Pros
  • Quality workmanship
Cons
  • Crumpled

Costs money! - Multitools and accessories

Worth the money! I've had several different types of magnets over the years and this is by far the most versatile. Holds the heat very well. The magnet is very strong for its size and the copper gasket is not yet showing any signs of fatigue or weakness. Brewed a few dozen holes, there were no problems. It's not the only magnet for all your needs, but it's definitely worth trying as such. Adjusting the pad tension and angle works great, all I can say is spend a few bucks more and buy now.

Pros
  • Noble design
Cons
  • Something different

Fur. Cool but could be better

Probably good for hobbyist but not shop/production environment. and DEFINITELY not worth $32.xx. so, maybe $18-20 tops. The magnet is just so-so and the handle is plastic and full of junk. Other than that, it's pretty well done. I will probably make the handle out of aluminum instead of cheap plastic and maybe replace the neodymium magnets later. On the other hand, I might as well build my own at this point since it's a pretty simple design. I regret spending $32 on this, but now I have a…

Pros
  • Delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Has problems

Where have you been all my life?

I bought this tool to fill 1/4" holes in the body of my car where a spoiler used to be installed. It works exactly as advertised. I tried using a copper water pipe as a support but it wasn't thick enough, burned out and got stuck. It's also quite small. The polycarbonate pad is about 1" square but rounded. I could easily fire my welder at the pad and the filler wire melted onto it (but didn't stick to it) and then melted that puddle into the surrounding metal. This did the job (filling of 6…
