The best of them!

I love these bags! If you're looking to replace your regular plastic bag, there's a learning curve. First of all, they are 100% compostable, so they start to decompose in about a week. I change my bag twice a week. I've tried several brands and find this to be the best and thickest of them all. Second, you can think of it like a regular plastic bag because it's not, but remember it's 100% better for our mother earth. You will sacrifice something to get something.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Slightly wrinkled

Perfect for our purpose

We replaced single use plastic with biodegradable and compostable plastic at our school and although these bags still take a long time to decompose in a landfill (1 to 5 years), They are a much better alternative to synthetic plastics that can last over 100 years. In a commercial composting facility, decomposition times approach 28 days, which is fantastic, but some of these bags end up in landfill. In the end, it's best to consciously reduce the use of plastic wherever possible.

Pros
  • This is amazing

  • I vaguely remember

BIODEGRADABLE means BIODEGRADABLE

I have ordered these several times and love them for weekly dog yard cleaning and litter boxes. I hate the idea of biodegradable material wrapped in plastic and never breaking. They are great for what I mainly use them for. However! ... Don't plan on leaving ANY rubbish here for more than a few days. They are what they say! BIODEGRADABLE. You start tearing and the bag falls apart, leaks and you have a complete mess in your hands. My son left a weekly spoonful of poop in this bag without…

They are just plastic bags - very disappointing

Other reviews say these bags started breaking in the tin. I thought I would buy the same product but what I received turned out to be a plastic bag coated to look like it was made from cornstarch. I put a bag in water for 3 weeks and got a shiny plastic bag after the coating dissolved. I put coffee grounds and vegetable slices in a bag and leave them for 2 weeks. None of the tests resulted in the bag showing any signs of breakage. This product does not perform as described and is not a good…
