Should have listened to the reviews. The pen is difficult to use, especially for children. The information displayed is often unrelated to the icon you are touching on the globe. For example, if you touch a koala, you will get a lot of information about a kangaroo. Getting random information unrelated to the icon you are touching is very frustrating. And my 7 year old even refused to use it because the pen only works for him about 50% of the time. Poorly made and very disappointing.

This is such a cool toy that all kids of all ages will love it! My 5 year old and 11 year old love playing with this toy. They have so much fun learning about different countries, states and animals. My 5 year old daughter was particularly interested in different animals and places so this is a great learning tool for her to discover new things. She even started memorizing facts about the world! My child was very happy about his birthday. He is very fond of animals and their origins and we thought it was just a toy for him. However, it didn't work right out of the box. I have invested in the Leapfrog Leapreader which uses special books and an interactive pen to read books to my baby. I was very happy with it and looked for 3D objects that support the same concept.
