Minimal shielding is best in networking products

The cable operates with dB loss and if it gets close to the camera power cable it will turn off. I was able to protect the coax cable with aluminum tape to keep it working. I routed the coax and power cable through a 1" hole and it didn't work until I made a makeshift shield.

It is good if you use it for WIFI application.

I originally bought this cable to extend the outdoor camera antenna to get closer to the DVR/Repeater and it didn't work. So to test the functionality I used it on my existing router/access point and it worked fine (the application the product is intended for). Therefore, this product does not support the RF range of the camera system.

Works as intended - Networking products

My router has 4 antennas. I used this cable to "move" one of the antennas to my basement. I fed the wire through a hole in the floor, connected the router's antenna to the other end of this wire, and installed the antenna in the basement's false ceiling. This greatly increased the signal strength in the basement.

To extend WiFi range

I unscrewed one of the antennas from my WiFi router and mounted it on the wall with this cable. It added quite a bit of range at low cost. I have a smart tv in my kitchen that was missing the signal and lowering the resolution when streaming, that fixed it with no problems.

Pros
  • Worth the money
Cons
  • Not as good as advertised

Bought to connect a directional WiFi antenna. When .

I bought it to connect to a WiFi directional antenna. Significant signal loss occurred during testing. Compared to the whip antenna of the Wi-Fi booster, the directional antenna should increase the download speed. The speed test showed that when using this cable, the speed loss is 70%. This thin unshielded cable is not suitable for Wi-Fi connections.

fail. Networking products

I thoroughly tested 2 of these cables and 3 external antennas. Not particularly lucky in anything. Improved signal through standard antennas. But these cables cost 1 bar of signal power for everything that goes through them. Now I'm tempted to buy a low-loss cable.

Pros
  • Always liked
Cons
  • Hard to say
