Ideal part for reverse osmosis systems that do not have space under the sink due to garbage disposal. I installed it in the drain of the dishwasher. Mine has nothing to do with garbage collection. The dishwasher has a separate J-trap.

Bought with a reverse osmosis system and it made installation a lot easier. No fiddling with the drain seat - you simply disconnect the dishwasher drain from the waste bin and plug this piece in. The drain plug worked perfectly - there was no leak. I'm glad I found this adapter!

My reverse osmosis system came with a saddle drain which I connected to the dirt outlet. My wife kept complaining about the sound of water draining from the RO. This led to mixed reviews as to whether it would reduce the audio. This worked completely and solved my problem. At first water pooled in my dishwasher but I rerouted the drain hose and did a high loop with a steeper drop and no more water pooling, no more noise. Simple solution!

This drain adapter works great and comes with all the parts you need to fit a reverse osmosis water filter drain line. Installing a PTC locking clamp is a professional move, otherwise these fittings require positive pressure to maintain a tight seal. The system drains water loudly. The waterfall effect can be heard in my 3 sqm room. ft.
