This item is the star in my art bag.

I have had many different water brush pens that I have tried and this is the premium pen with the best design and a quality brush tip that remains virtually unchanged even with careless, rough use. The brush pens I bought after purchasing this one wore out before this one showed even remotely the slightest sign of normal wear. Excellent purchase!

This is a great water brush if that's what you're after.

This is a great water brush if you are looking for one that doesn't shed a lot of water. Other brands can be quite difficult to use, especially when you're new, but this one works well. However, it may bother some people that the water doesn't flow as much, but I use it for detail work when I want to make my colors dense.

  • Quick Change
Cons
  • Crumple pack

Perfect for watercolor pencils

This is a great water brush! I have this and a Pentel Aquabrush. It's perfect for watercolor pencils as it sheds very little water, and it's also great for coloring books that can't hold too much water. I prefer my Pentel for watercolors (and good watercolor paper) when I need a lot of water. But this is my number one choice for watercolor pencils, coloring books, stamp inks, etc. If you're looking for a water brush that gives you full control, I highly recommend this one.

Small water tank

I used the Pentel water brush for many years but it leaked from the start but I didn't use it much. Now I'm going to use a general sketch and a washer that I wanted to update. I chose Faber Castell because I like a lot of what they do. Filling is difficult as you have to submerge the water tank to fill. It's small then so I refilled it often which means it's not suitable for travel or plein air. I also don't like the water drain button; The tip of the brush dried quickly. I switched to Kuretake

Overall good water brush

Excellent brush, piston shape is really easy to fill. Watercontrol is decent, but I find the brush stays a lot wetter than other brands, which can be good or bad depending on what you're using it for. The hard plastic body is comfortable and fits the hand more firmly than the soft plastics of other models. The squeezing silicone on this brush is a little hard to get the water flowing, it's very easy to squeeze but it takes quite a bit of squeezing to actually release the water. Overall this is…

Ideal for detailed watercolor work.

This is the best brush I've found for detailing watercolors. The water flow is very slow but stable. This makes it handy for situations where you want to paint fine details with little water or paint with your brush. You can press the clearly marked "button" to remove more water, but you must do this to wet the paint before loading the brush, not when applying paint to the page. The construction is solid and well thought out. The cap stays on well and the tip is small enough to bring out detail

Pros
  • Paint
Cons
  • Big and chunky
