Beats new compressor purchase

My 6 year old Harbor Freight air compressor started to over pressurize and the relief valve started to drain. After removing the top cover and finding no disconnected wires, it was easy to diagnose that it was a pressure sensor. The old one was corroded. A similar compressor costs over $100. When connected to the network, the original switch was set to On. at 120# and off at 150#, and the relief valve was rated at 150#. I decided to change from @140# to @110# and installed a new 150# reliefโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Lifespan: 100,000 cycles, long lifespan, if you have any problems, please email the seller.
Cons
  • Slightly torn

Invalid PSI specs

Recently, after years of excellent service, a 120/150 psi pressure switch on my Bostich 6gal pancake compressor failed, never mind , I say. Man I was wrong, after weeks of trying I tried 5 switches from different vendors including OEM for twice the price and the longest delivery time. NONE of the switches worked to the advertised specs, they all failed causing the 160psi pressure valve to operate. After 4 attempts I ordered 110/140 from this seller, but again the characteristics did not matchโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Male 1/4-18 NPT: Easy air tank/draw/air horn connection, air bag pressure switch
Cons
  • Expensive

Perfect pressure switch replacement ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ‘

I have had a Kobalt vertical oil free air compressor for about 2 years. It has a cut-in pressure of 95psi and shuts off at 175psi. When I bought it I thought it was great. Now that I think about it, the compressor works and runs to bring the pressure to 175psi before shutting down. In other words, he's working a lot harder than he should, trying to get to 175psi. The higher the cut-off pressure, the harder the compressor has to work. Anyway, I replaced the original pressure sensor with thisโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Universal Air Pressure Switch Use: e.g. for air horn/pull, air tank pressure switch
Cons
  • No power
