broke after a month. Inside is a very small spring. It's very thin and soft. If it breaks, the entire pivoting mechanism stops. Very disappointed! On top of that, Fisher Price/Mattel doesn't even make this product. Called their customer service to request a spring replacement and was told they would outsource the license to another company and call them. This other company's customer service is voicemail where you have to leave your name and phone number and they will call you back. Yeah right.

Not like childhood

Disappointed. I remember my See & Say from when I was a kid so I was excited when I stumbled upon it. We were teaching our 19 month old to make sounds and thought it would help. The first thing I noticed was that they are much smaller than before. Maybe it will be easier for my son to cope with it. The biggest disappointment came when I pulled the cord. The sound of the rotating dart is much louder than the device's "voice". So if you should hear "cow speak" you will hear mechanical noises and…

Not for children.

BIG DESIGN CHANGE from the original See 'n Say. There's no longer a pretty ring at the end of the cord to grab onto with your pinky, but now there's a slippery pick that's difficult to hold on to. The cable itself is about half the length and pulls out 3 times harder. My daughter is physically unable to pull the umbilical cord hard enough to speak; It's like watching her try to change the belt on a washing machine. After seeing me doing it and struggling with it herself for about 5 minutes, she

Nice vintage toy!

I had one of these as a kid in the 70's and I'm glad I can give it to my kids. I bought this for our 10 month old twins and they love it. It looks like a vintage toy from what I remember, except the tongue is a solid piece, not a ring (never mind, but it might be interesting if you notice things like that). Lever because it was too loud and the girl's voice in it sounds a bit grumpy! - I don't think kindly to young ears. And I personally don't want to hear that thing singing "Old MacDonald" all

DO NOT BUY! for Volchkov

I hate to leave reviews, but here it is necessary. Probably the WORST Amazon purchase I've ever made (and I've bought several!). Check out the 2 photos I posted, screenshots of the specs and manufacturer notes. In the first photo, there is an arrow pointing to INDETSKA with a speech bubble that reads "Woof, I'm a dog." - EXACTLY how this POS works. He will point to the pig and make the sound of a sheep. Essentially, we are teaching our children how they can fail when teaching their animals. The

Nostalgic, inaccurate copy

Pros: - Memories! How nice to see one of them again! - Low price! 20 euros is not bad, especially when other "throwback" products charge a nostalgia surcharge. Continuous! As I've only used it a couple of times I can't comment on the durability of the cord and gears... but the toy itself is made out of hard, durable plastic. I expect this to last for a long time, assuming the internal mechanisms will do the same. Cons: - It's much smaller than the original. Probably at most 3/4 the size of what
