FJC 2850 Digital Scale Review

Put a 10lb weight on it to make sure it's accurate, not sure if the weight doesn't match the weight but I was indoors and on a flat surface. flat surface and displayed weight will move up and down

this product met all my expectations - was cheap to buy - easy to use - seems accurate - supplier delivered on time and well packaged You can lose your base measurement if you don't press the dial to stay awake, a condition you can easily avoid. I would recommend it to everyone.

This is one of Revain's cheapest AC scales. I don't think the reading is entirely correct - in fact I know it isn't. This is close enough to work with automotive air conditioners. I have a mechanical shop and have used it dozens of times. Holds up well; I can recommend using a slightly more expensive scale if you need accuracy.

Good scale for AC operation EXCEPT that time runs out and shuts off pretty quickly so you have to be really careful or you won't know how much Freon you've recovered. Also, the last measurement isn't saved, so you'll need to weigh an empty refill jar and write that number on the jar in case you forget it, so you know you've restored/charged it.

I'm an HVAC technician. I ordered this scale based on the price and previous reviews. So far has not been disappointed. Used it many times during the California heat wave. Supplied in a robust hard case. Easy to use. The control panel is a good length. The scale seems correct. Good design. Overall good quality for the price. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a cheap refrigerant scale.

I had the same problem as others. The scale is not stable. If it just drifted up and down a tenth of an ounce it wouldn't be a problem, they all do it with 30lb freon when it's windy outside. This scale only ever went from half an ounce to an ounce at a time compared to my TIF and Robinair scales, they are very stable with very little fluctuation. I ended up sending this one back.

This was purchased in case "something" happened to the store(s). I service the armored vehicles here in Afghanistan, but now she does all the maintenance. I service all Chicos brand air conditioners and refer to what we have here at COP. It's easy for the unit to teach soldiers how to work, and when things go wrong they can read the cover. It has two weight measurements on the scale and both are used. We serve R-12, R-22, R-134A, R-407. Nice device. Easy on the wallet.

I borrowed a snap on scale from a friend until I bought this FJC electronic scale. I found the FJC scale much easier to use and read than the snap-on scale. I like how the scale performs a self-calibration every time it is turned on. The numbers on the keypad are big and bright.
