The fans work great. Engine stayed cold

! went on a 2500 mile trip with my horse trailer and 2 horses. Total weight was 10,200 pounds including the truck weighed on the scale. My truck is a 2002 Dodge 3500 with a diesel engine. Uphill and downhill through Kentucky, Tennessee to Live Oak, Florida. The fans work great. the engine was cold.

BATTERY CABLE ATTACHMENT

I installed the battery cable attachment from an old wire radiator. You can also add screws to the chassis frame. I haven't had any problems and have been using it for 9 months now. I haven't had any overheating issues since I've been wearing it. I'm towing a 27ft camper and when I'm driving uphill it seems to let in enough air.

There is some concern hauling a heavy (13,500lb) trailer up a hill without a 10,000cfm clutch fan, I had to climb vines three times to cool off. I'm planning to separate the transmission cooling with an external cooler and see what that does for me. So far I am very happy…

Doesn't work if you tow

If your Cummins diesel engine is for everyday use and you don't tow this could probably work for you, but if you tow, even a light one (I tow one 21-foot trailer), this will cause you to be stranded on the side of the road overheated. With my stock fan and fairing, I could tow 65 mph on the interstate, and the engine temp never went above 195 degrees. First hike this summer after installing Flex-a-lite and the first steep climb. I used to just drive over the top and my temp gauge was 240, the…
