Shutdown is good for watch

Had high hopes for this smart watch. The first days were quite nice. The instructions (via the app) were pretty vague but I could understand them. Everything was going pretty well, I got used to it and found many new ways to make it work for me. display the correct time and not connect to the application at all. There was nothing I could do to "fix" it, it worked. It was an hour late and I couldn't use any of the features. So - sent back. It was a good try, but .

Pros
  • Looking forward to
Cons
  • High price

READ THIS REVIEW Good for men

I really like this line of watches. Displays all the information I need, rings my phone if I've lost it, controls the music, takes and answers calls, looks fantastic, great battery. Double-tapping to turn on the backlight is a bit fiddly, but not too bad. BUT there was one thing that gave me a massive headache. The hands can sometimes wander, not keeping the correct time and disrupting the news. I returned a watch and was about to return another one before I found out there is a calibration…

The clock is always running

It has no direction. There's a pamphlet inside that says it is, but the writing is so small it's almost impossible to read. It says: 1) CHARGE 2) DOWNLOAD AND PAIR On your phone, download the Fossil Smartwatches app. He will explain to you exactly how to do this. I found out more on You Tube. I also looked for a printed manual for the Fossil Hybrid HR Smartwatch and it was listed, but I didn't download it. Back to YouTube. I'm getting the hang of it, but it can be frustrating. It also doesn't…

I really wanted to like this watch.

I really wanted to like this watch. It looked like everything I wanted in a smartwatch, with beautiful looks and streamlined features. Instead, I only used it for a day and a half and sent it back. Apparently there's a firmware issue that causes random lines to appear on the dial that you can't remove unless you jump over X counts of hoops, and that's still not a guarantee. The menus made no sense, and random firmware strings made the problem worse. After a day of wearing, the band was very…

Exceeds my well-researched expectations.

I have a pretty sophisticated Wear OS smartwatch from Huawei, which is really awesome with lots of features and options, but in truth there are two things that make this watch practical for me: battery life and visibility on the street. Fossil Hybrid HR virtually eliminates both of these specific problems. The battery life is amazing with a charging time of 1 hour. And with enough sunlight, it's easily visible outdoors. I'll limit the notifications features to a few basics: email, text…

Versatile yet simple

I NEVER write product reviews but I enjoy writing about this watch. I didn't want an Apple Watch because I love the idea of analog hands that still move. But I like tracking health and fitness. This watch gives me everything I want. And it's highly customizable. I had a Misfit Command that broke twice and didn't have that many features. The fossil is superb. The app is easy to use. The presets that let you customize three buttons for different functions are great. You can set any number or…

Smart Enough

I like notifications on my wrist. It's nice to be able to view text messages or see who's calling. When I'm about to answer or answer, I pick out my phone, but during a call or class I'm teaching to check the clock is much more natural and unobtrusive. Once a week to charge. Anyway, I take my watch off to work in the garden so I just pop it on the charger and I'm done when I finish my gardening. When I plugged it into the charger this week after a few weeks of use, it was still >%30. The…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

I really liked this watch and everything about it appealed to me. The elegance and simplicity of a timeless watch with some additional smartwatch features. The biggest problem with the watch is the terrible sync issues which is why I ended up returning it. As much as I want to keep it and justify the issues in my head, it fails to properly perform one of its primary functions: syncing with your phone. Bluetooth has a line-of-sight range of about 30 feet. Add walls, doors, etc. that shrink…

I tried very hard to like this watch.

Well, I had a Samsung Active 2 smartwatch before, I really never used many of the smart features and I've always liked the classic watch. I found this one, I liked the look and thought it had features I would probably use every day. When I got it I thought it looked great. A very sporty watch reminiscent of a diving watch. Trying to set it up was a little tricky, especially since it doesn't come with instructions. All settings are made online and it's not very intuitive. Scrolling through the…
