I've used similar products in the past. In general, you have to be very careful with this type of tape when sticking it on because it will never come off. However, this tape fell off the frames when I hung them on the wall.

Do not use directly on wooden frames. I'm a photographer and have used it on MDF and pine frames only to have it fall off with repeated use. I thought when it happened at the open air fair it might be the heat. When reusing it at an indoor display in a controlled heating/cooling environment, I found it was coming loose when taking pictures of the display. Although very easy to use I am very disappointed with this product.

I bought this tape for a quick frame repair, around a gap between a wooden frame and a cardboard backing or a spacer filler used to fill a gap in a framing groove and to protect the back of photographs and prints.The effectiveness of the tape appears to depend heavily on the texture of the material it is holding covered, although it's not easy to determine the prerequisites.
