Frozen King Cooling Pad for Air Conditioners Review

So this product is a great concept but the adhesion from the magnetic stripe to the foam is not very good. I haven't complained about this in other reviews but just know that you will have peace of mind knowing you won't hear dripping drops every time it rains. He does his job and I am grateful for that!

I received the drip pad today and am very happy with the thickness of the foam pad. Seems like it should work just fine when it starts raining! The magnet on the bottom isn't the strongest magnet I've ever used, so I cut a small hole in it and took a long zip tie and attached it to the bottom for extra grip!

The dripper worked well in light rain and light wind. However, the magnetic force is weak, the magnetic sheet material is brittle and has poor adhesion to the foam. It is easily displaced by strong winds. The remnants of Hurricane Ida's 20-mile gust easily tore it back down. This time he flew at a distance of 35 feet.

The whole purpose of this product is to stop the sound of the air conditioner dripping over it, but even with the lid closed there is still sound! It was relatively easy to install, although we did have to cut holes for our air conditioning vents. I really want us to think about trying it out before we cut out those holes because I can't get it back now. I purchased this product when I moved to a new apartment and discovered how noisy rain and air conditioner drips from the apartment above can be on my air conditioner. A year later it's still doing its job but the foam has thinned over time. Still, it muffles the rain and drips very well. But I didn't measure correctly initially and ended up with some edges of the AC unit exposed so I wanted to get the right size so I ordered another one. I would recommend this to anyone dealing with loud drops
