Good product. Read please.

It's a bit difficult at the beginning because you're trying to remove a filling that you can't see. The first impulse is to push the tool in as far as it will go and turn it. I stopped after 1 hour. The next day I watched the video 4 times and realized the guy hadn't pushed the tool all the way. Do as in the video and the gaskets will come out quickly. Trust me, be there and do it. Otherwise an excellent product. Buy it.

That does not work. good for valve gear tools

I cleaned the bottom o-ring groove and then deformed a set of 5 of these o-rings. They don't fit completely in the groove, much like oversized o-rings. The dealer does not replace or sell O-rings, only replaces the entire assembly. There's a reason for that, it's almost impossible to put the bottom o-ring back in place. I wasted my time and my bike has yet to go to the shop with a few missed riding weekends. Don't waste your time with this.

This is a good quality well made tool

This is a good quality well made tool. That's the best I can say about it. When I double checked to make sure it works with my year and model, they confirmed it. Turns out it didn't work for my year and model so they just send whatever they have for sale. I would like to wait for the right thing. However. I still have to wait because the ones they sent and confirmed are of no use to me. 1 problem became 2. Well made good quality tool.

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • Low repairability

One Tricky Pony: Power Tools

This tool only does one thing, but it does it well and saves you money. Harley Davidson says this part is irreparable, $43 new plus $180 to repair. With this tool and a new o-ring for less than $2, or if you need a complete dual o-ring and valve kit for about $14, you can repair an original part in minutes. Original O-rings wear out because they are not resistant to ethanol in gas. With this kit and the new ethanol-resistant O-rings, you can do the repair yourself. I still suggest you find…

Not really worth the money

The price is ridiculous. Worth $35 if you ask me. That immediately got me into trouble. There is no precision about the hooks and how they are made, my shorter "A" hook didn't work at all until I reshaped it with needle nose pliers; only then did it work as if by magic. I have not tried the installation tools as the o-rings have not yet been delivered. Because Revain has reduced their use of the postal service, they can't get anything to me on time. This tool at this price should come with 3…

This product is excellent and anti-counterfeiting.

I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to fix a leaking quick release valve on my 2007 FXSTD. It took several trips to the HD dealership 90 miles away to get the correct O-rings. After buying a pair of O-rings from the dealer for $0.35 each, I tried replacing the O-rings with a toothpick I had in my tool box. I removed the o-rings and removed the spring that I couldn't find. I compared the o-rings to the ones they sold me at the dealer. Not the same. So I bought this product and a…

Not good enough for valve tools

This product promises to make a quick and easy check valve repair on my Harley. What the advertising doesn't say is that it depends on cheap and inefficient paperclips that snap at the slightest pressure and bend before they break. Good luck not breaking them. The hook to remove the first o-ring broke the first time I tried to use it, didn't remove the o-ring, couldn't even grab it. The only thing I did at first was pull a few pieces off the twisted and broken tip of the paperclip. It took…
