Fumoto will be on every car in the future.

I put one on my wife's Subaru but as my truck is older and will probably be sold next year I didn't think it was worth the money. But when the plug got damaged trying to remove it for an oil change, I bought it for my 06 Ridgeline. Fumoto's website says you will most likely need a long extension, and for my early 2006 Ridgeline this is indeed the case. I'm looking forward to the next oil change on both machines. With a short nipple, you can simply put a piece of hose over the short end and let…

The best since sliced bread!

I have always changed the oil myself since I bought my first car in 1962. It takes a PhD to fix cars these days, but I still love changing the oil because I know it's done right. One of the worst parts of this process is spilling oil when removing the drain plug. Even with rubber gloves, it sometimes runs down the arm and almost always drips onto the street. I installed Fumoto on both my wife's 2016 Civic and my 2019 Subaru Forester. Installation was 1-2-3. I used the washer that came with it…

Check the size before buying!

I had high hopes for this drain plug as it would make oil changes a lot quicker, but they got lost due to poor installation due to incorrect thread size and the fact that even when it was the right size, I couldn't turn it because it doesn't clean the drain pan. This was ordered for a Ford Fusion 15 with a 2.0 liter Ecoboost that uses an M12-1.75 thread for the oil drain plug, which I should have checked before buying as the F106 only comes in the 2.5 -litre engine fits as it is an M14-1.5…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Useless features

Great product I originally gave a mediocre review

Edit: Ashamed, I keep my original review. There were no problems with the product. I tried to steer him in the wrong direction. I'm blaming this on the van which is oddly parked in the garage so I had to lie down differently which means I was trying to fuel it with my left hand. I think my brain had a problem with changing sides. Both valves are installed (van and truck) and I'm happy on the internet but confused forever. . He didn't turn. I checked if F106 (M14-1.5) should work on my 2011 VW…

Fits Kia Sedona 2017 - works!

Update 11/2020: Changed the oil and it was easy! No more confusion and guesswork with the oil drain plug and the amount of threads left before it pops out! Clean, easy to use. I used a hose connector and that made it even easier. The plastic latch that prevents the latch from slipping has not broken for 6 months (even when driving on snow). Things haven't flown yet and so far so good. As always, I'll update if anything changes. On my only use so far, I would definitely recommend this for a DYI…
