🔧 Enhance Performance with Gates T43138 PowerGrip Premium Timing Belt Tensioner Review

When I purchased this product it was July 2013. At that time Gates products were OEM. I was very happy with this product. UPDATE FOR EVERY ORDER AFTER 2016. I recently ordered a timing belt kit from Gates (January 2017) and it contained Chinese parts MADE IN JAPAN MADE IN JAPAN and MADE IN JAPAN. Be careful. I would just order parts directly from NTN, KOYO and NSK.

This thing is as pretty as a sunny shower on a hot Saturday in August. It works more than I have words to describe how well it works. They are blue, like the eyes of a newborn kitten seeing the world for the first time. Craftsmanship is better than a bottle of Imperial Gran Reserva. Purchased to replace the tensioner on a Subaru Outback 2000 that was factory. The image is accurate in that "JAPAN" and "NTN" are cast on the cast. They also match the markings on the factory part. The finish of the cast isn't as smooth, but it's probably a variation of the cast. was a steal compared to the local Subaru dealer price which was at least 50% higher. A handy "grenade pin" is already present, which is very easy to install.

I have purchased many different auto parts over the years both aftermarket and OEM and this one stands out from the rest. I bought this based on previous reviews and am very surprised that I was able to get this quality for less than half what a dealer or various other commercial parts stores would sell me.
