Bore not 1/4 ": bushings

They are slightly smaller than 1/4". I was going to use these to replace the grommets on the tent and the tent poles fit 1/4" grommets. They are smaller than standard 1/4" grommets. If you don't have exactly 1/4" sockets If you want inner diameters, they should work just fine. I was just a little annoyed that they were made in the USA and still couldn't get the right size. The ones I bought at a local sewing store were exactly 1/4 inch and made in Taiwan.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Rebuilt pole tent with spigot

Everything worked fine for me. Just watch a few YouTube videos and you'll be fine. It doesn't take a lot of muscle power to hit and I used the smooth side of a metal hammer because the other end of the hit damaged my hammer. I used it to swap out my tent that requires female end poles for a tent that accepts male end poles (3/8" poles with 1/4" male ends - hence the 1/4" spacer kit) Can't comment on durability yet as I've just installed them.. Bushings didn't come apart when installing. I'll…

  • Nice packaging

  • Can't remember

Choose a higher quality product

I regret not having spent more on another brand. Haven't used a jack tool much and thought the cost was reasonable considering the type of device it is, but it's a cheap tool. The hole knife is too blunt to cut through very thin fabric, the bushings themselves bend easily, and how they perform determines how they perform or fail. Bought to prevent the tapestry from tearing, this product did more damage than simply sticking it to the wall. Did exactly what was bought to prevent. I'll try to go…

Pros
  • Handsfree
Cons
  • Very expensive
