Disappointed, good for hand tools

Tried to cut 24 gauge sheet copper. That was hard. It eventually shrank, but that was more due to my persistence than anything else. The edges of the disc were uneven and since there was no way to hold the blade it had tool marks where the blade moved. In addition, the notch was difficult to remove.

Pros
  • Great for me
Cons
  • Price piggy bank

I quickly discovered that this product is easy to damage using the hammer method. Also, a slightly off-centre impact of the piston caused damage to the cutting edges. Since you have to align the center by eye, you can easily get off center (too much). Self-centering punches give more reliable results. UPDATE: After punching three coins (quarters) the tool goes in the bin.

030) and causes blunt hits after the first cut, no matter how soft the .

The problem is that the top guide is too big and doesn't line up with the bottom cut so it doesn't even come close to passing the punch. The top acrylic had to be drilled out and then leveled. Unfortunately there aren't any and they are too big. This makes it impossible to get a decent cut from even thin plastic (.030 gauge) and results in blunt hits after the first cut, no matter how soft the material. It could be a lot better.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Not as thick as the other cutters

Too sloppy clear guide

Part of clear tool guide 1/16 inch or more larger than punch. Condition results in broken dies and uncut material. This was very disappointing as the description indicated that the guide might be too tight and that the punches might need lapping in place. This is exactly how it should be, but obviously not. with the device I received. The steel die itself is the right size but could not be tested on soft material either due to the slope of the guide.

Pros
  • Fair performance
Cons
  • Not sure

Doesn't work with power tools

I rarely write a review, but when it's that bad I want to caution others about wasting money on something that doesn't work. First, the goods were covered with oil. I understand these devices need lube to work, but when I opened it everything spilled onto the floor and onto my kitchen table. It would be better to have the lubricant separately (as is the case with more expensive devices). I also tried using it, but after about 20 hammer blows it still wouldn't cut through my 24 gauge sheet ofโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Hard to say

I'm a jeweler and I usually drill from silver or gold sheet which I use when I need to drill holes. I ordered this primarily because I needed to make perfectly round blanks for a project I was working on, and secondly to waste less precious metals when I needed to make holes. The product works as expected, but I encountered a few issues. When cutting holes in small sheet metal, the sheet metal is sometimes deformed in such a way that to remove the sheet metal the block must be disassembledโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Not very accurate or well done.

I bought this to stamp .030 inch thick styrenic discs (a bit thicker than a disposable plastic sheet). And it's a mess after just two tracks. There are a few bad things about it. an oily mess, it was covered with rust in several places, especially in the holes. To the point that I had to carefully remove the rust in order for the stamps to even fit. congealed to a sticky varnish, so that even the two not so badly rusted holes had to be rubbed out in order for the stamps to fit. 3- The alignment

Pros
  • good stuff
Cons
  • reliability
