🚀 GOLDENROD (624) Spray Tip Oiler with Straight Spout - 10 oz. Capacity: Efficient Lubrication Solution Review

I used one of these for years before it finally broke. I ordered a new one in February 2020, a cheaper and thinner pumping mechanism failed in July 2020. I don't recommend it.

I bought this for use with Safe-Tap drilling and tapping fluid which is a relatively thin (low viscosity) working fluid and with a little extra pressure on the handle it sprays well. I'm sure it won't spray with a heavier oil and will work fine with something thinner than Safe-Tap.

Filled with Tap Magic for machining and drilling. Works great. It atomizes quite well with such a highly viscous oil, which makes the spray setting useful. I keep this near my grinder and need to order another for my drill because it's so convenient and much safer to use a spray nozzle than dripping out of a ketchup bottle.

What I was really hoping for was the ability to apply a soft touch and create a light mist. Some things don't need much lubrication and many just drip off. You have to press hard and fast to get good fog for the target to win. Also, I couldn't get it to spray evenly in a cone shape, which it should be. Mostly disappointed with this one for my purpose.

These Goldenrod Oilers are like your grandfather who oiled anything that stuck or squeaked. You can't go wrong with this. Take this with a spray and you get a straight, curved and flexible thumb oiler - like your grandfather's when you press your thumb on the bottom of the jar. Fill it halfway with motor oil and your family will mistake you for a DIY repair expert.
